AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D & 9900X3D CPUs Rumored to Launch in Late March Alongside RX 9070-Series GPUs

AMD's highly anticipated Zen 5 X3D processors, the Ryzen 9 9950X3D and 9900X3D, are rumored to launch at the end of March, potentially alongside the RDNA 4-based RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT graphics cards.

According to French hardware site Cowcotland, sources suggest that these new 3D V-Cache-equipped CPUs will debut around the same time as AMD’s upcoming GPUs. This aligns with a previous statement from AMD’s David McAfee, who hinted that gamers could expect the new graphics cards in March.

High-Performance Specs

The Ryzen 9 9950X3D is expected to feature 16 cores, 32 threads, a 5.7 GHz boost clock, and 144 MB of total cache with a 170W TDP. Meanwhile, the 9900X3D will offer 12 cores, 24 threads, a 5.5 GHz boost clock, and 140 MB of cache at 120W.

These chips are set to outperform AMD’s current gaming champion, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D, which has 8 cores, 16 threads, and 104 MB of cache. While the new CPUs promise higher performance, pricing will play a crucial role in determining the best value option for gamers.

With a rumored late March release, enthusiasts may not have to wait long to see how these processors stack up against the competition.
