Globe educated over 3,000 students from 15 schools on digital safety, cybersecurity, and responsible AI use through its Digital Thumbprint Program (DTP) Learning Sessions in February. The initiative aligns with its Safer Internet campaign, promoting responsible digital citizenship. Globe partnered with key government agencies, NGOs, and child rights advocates to spread awareness. It also trained select DTI employees and amplified safety education through social media influencers. The company remains committed to bridging digital literacy gaps and protecting communities from online threats.

Over 3,000 students from 15 schools nationwide have gained essential knowledge on digital safety, cybersecurity, and responsible AI use through Globe’s Digital Thumbprint Program (DTP) Learning Sessions in February. This initiative aligns with the company’s ongoing Safer Internet campaign.

As part of its advocacy for responsible digital citizenship, Globe mobilized employee volunteers to support Safer Internet Day under the theme "Digital Bayanihan, para Kabataang Ligtas at Protektado Online."

Commitment to Digital Safety

"Globe remains committed to fostering a secure and responsible digital space for Filipinos," said Yoly Crisanto, Globe’s Chief Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer. "By educating the youth on cybersecurity and responsible AI use, we empower them to make informed choices and protect themselves online."

For Safer Internet Month, Globe partnered with key organizations such as NCC-OSAEC CSAEM, the Department of Education, the Department of Justice, UNICEF, World Vision Philippines, and other government agencies and child rights advocates.

Beyond schools, select employees of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) also received training on digital safety.

Amplifying Awareness Through Social Media

Globe strengthened its digital safety advocacy with Globe of Good influencers, who shared engaging online content on:

  • Recognizing and preventing Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children (OSAEC)

  • Cybersecurity best practices

  • SIM registration to prevent fraud

  • Reporting spam and scam messages

  • Reporting channels for OSAEC and CSAEM cases
