The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) is assisting micro and small enterprises in Negros Occidental to enhance their entrepreneurial skills through the Kapatid Mentor ME-Money Market Encounter (KMME-MME) Online, in collaboration with the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship (PCE).
Provincial KMME coordinator Gabriel Advincula stated in an interview on Wednesday that they are seeking eight mentees who will receive free business scaling guidance through weekly coaching sessions.
Applications for the program will be accepted until February 7, and selected candidates will undergo a 10-week mentorship program from March to June.
Experienced mentors accredited by the PCE will guide the mentees, focusing on improving their entrepreneurial capabilities through better access to Mentorship, Money, and Market.
The program includes modules on various topics, such as Entrepreneurial Mindset, Marketing, Business Models, Operations Management, Digitalization, HR, Finance, Product Development, Market Expansion, and Business Law. In September, 11 mentees from Negros Occidental completed the KMME-MME Online program and presented successful Business Improvement Plans. The online version of KMME-MME aims to help micro, small, and medium enterprises recover from the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic.
