The most affected regions include CALABARZON, NCR, and Central Luzon, with children 14 and below making up the majority of cases. Despite the rising numbers, the case fatality rate remains under 1%, though many fatalities involved severe symptoms. The DOH continues to encourage the public to maintain cleanliness and remove potential mosquito breeding grounds to help prevent further outbreaks.

Dengue cases in the Philippines have surged to 76,425 from January 1 to March 15, 2025, according to the Department of Health (DOH). This marks a 78% increase compared to the 42,822 cases recorded during the same period last year. Despite the rise, the case fatality rate remains below 1%.

The regions with the highest number of cases are CALABARZON (15,108 cases), the National Capital Region (13,761 cases), and Central Luzon (12,424 cases). Most affected patients are children aged 14 and below.

The DOH noted that many fatalities exhibited symptoms such as stomach pain, bleeding, vomiting, and weakness. The public is urged to eliminate mosquito breeding grounds to help prevent further infections.
