As of 3:00 AM today, a Low Pressure Area (LPA) was located approximately 695 kilometers east of General Santos City. This weather disturbance is embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Mindanao. The LPA is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms to the Davao Region and SOCCSKSARGEN. Moderate to occasionally heavy rains may lead to flash floods or landslides. The LPA has a low chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 to 48 hours but remains under close monitoring.
