Disappearance of musical writer, Lin Manuel in the 2nd Movie of Moana made the music Quite average

Although Lin-Manuel Miranda's songs for Moana were so successful that they earned him a Grammy, the singer chose not to return to provide music for the Disney film's follow-up.

The real reason why Miranda didn't create the music for the 2nd movie is because he wasn't to do it. Instead they asked another song writer to write music for the 2nd movie which backfired heavily.

"There was never an opportunity to be on Moana 2. That was a TV series that became a movie, and so they already had their songwriters," he said. "I'm really proud that Opetaia and Mark and Abigail and Emily got to work on that."

Although that it is quite sad that the music in the 2nd movie wasn't a hit as the first one, the animation was still amazing.
