Elon Musk's 'endgame' Exposed: A 'destabilising force' Shaping the World
Elon Musk has always been known for his ambitious ideas, from revolutionizing electric vehicles with Tesla to redefining space travel with SpaceX. However, according to political expert Dr. Matt Mokhefi-Ashton from Nottingham Trent University, Musk’s ultimate goal is far bigger—colonizing Mars.

A Disruptor at Heart
Despite his recent controversial statements on social media platform X—such as jibes at the UK government and even a suggestion to rename the English Channel—Dr. Mokhefi-Ashton dismisses concerns about Musk’s potential interference in foreign politics. Instead, he argues that Musk’s main focus is on securing his place in history as the man who takes humanity to Mars.
Dr. Mokhefi-Ashton elaborates:
“I mean, I think the way to look at it from an academic point of view is he's a destabilizing force. And I think he'd be quite happy to own that title. He always talks about himself in terms of being a disruptor in whatever field he’s been working in, and he seems to see his life mission as to be a disruptor.”

Musk’s various business ventures all seem to align with this grand vision. Dr. Mokhefi-Ashton points out that Tesla, SpaceX, and even Neuralink all serve as stepping stones toward his Mars colonization goal.
“If you look at virtually everything that he does across multiple fields, it is all towards this kind of endgame of colonizing Mars. If you look at Tesla and other companies he’s involved in, he’s been quite open about this—the idea of creating a colony on Mars.”
Unlike many billionaires who seek political influence, Musk appears uninterested in traditional power structures. Dr. Mokhefi-Ashton notes:
“I don't think he wants power. I don't think he wants to be president or anything like that. I think something like that would honestly, from what I've read about him, bore him.”
The USAID Controversy and “Corporate Deforestation”
One of Musk’s more controversial moves has been his dealings with USAID (United States Agency for International Development). Some analysts suggest his approach mirrors his drastic restructuring of Twitter (now X) when he acquired the platform in 2022.
“So there's bits of the state that he sees as inefficient. He did this when he came into Twitter—this deforestation, just removing anyone that he thought was wasteful or wasn’t working hard enough.”
Dr. Mokhefi-Ashton warns that if USAID loses resources or faces restrictions due to Musk’s influence, it could have serious consequences:
“I think in some places it's going to be really bad. It's going to have a very negative impact.”
The Challenge of Holding Musk Accountable
Musk’s immense wealth and influence also raise concerns about accountability. With the power to shape industries and even government policies, some fear that he operates with little oversight.
“I think the risk is people who could come in and say, ‘We need to hold you to account for what you're doing on social media. We need to hold you to account for this, that, and the other.’ And again, looking at his history, he wants to be in a position where he can do what he feels that he needs to do to achieve his ultimate objectives.”
Conclusion
Elon Musk is undeniably a force of change—a visionary aiming for Mars while disrupting industries and challenging traditional institutions. Whether his impact will be ultimately positive or negative remains a topic of debate. However, one thing is clear: Musk is shaping the future in ways few others can, and his ultimate endgame is written in the stars.
