Filipina Dia Mate Wins Reina Hispanoamericana 2025, Philippines Secures Second Crown

Dia Mate from the Philippines was crowned Reina Hispanoamericana 2025 in a grand ceremony held in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, on February 9 (February 10 in Manila).

Mate, a member of the prominent Remulla political family from Cavite, triumphed over 24 other candidates in the prestigious Latin-dominated pageant. She succeeds Maricielo Gamarra of Peru, the reigning 2023/2024 titleholder. This victory marks the Philippines’ second Reina Hispanoamericana crown, following Winwyn Marquez’s historic win in 2017.

As per tradition, the competition also named a "Virreina" (vice-queen), a role given to Sofia Fernandez of Venezuela, who will assume the titleholder’s responsibilities should the winner be unable to fulfill her duties.
