Scattered rain showers, thunderstorms expected in PH due to three weather systems.
PAGASA reports that three weather systems—the shear line, easterlies, and northeast monsoon—will bring scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms to various parts of the Philippines over the next 24 hours. Despite the rainy conditions, no storms are expected. Meanwhile, Maguindanao may experience a heat index of 42°C, reaching the danger level.

Three weather systems are expected to bring scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms across various parts of the Philippines over the next 24 hours, according to PAGASA.
Despite the rainy conditions, weather specialist Rhea Torres confirmed that no storms are expected in the coming days. The shear line, caused by the convergence of hot and cold air, will affect Visayas, Albay, Sorsogon, Catanduanes, Masbate, and Dinagat Islands, leading to cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the easterlies will bring similar weather patterns to Davao Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, Sarangani, Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, and Palawan, while the northeast monsoon ("amihan") will cause overcast skies and rain in Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Aurora, Quezon, and the rest of the Bicol Region.
Other parts of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to the easterlies. PAGASA’s two-day forecast indicates that Maguindanao may experience a heat index of 42°C, reaching the danger level.
