Attack on Titan: The Last Attack post-credit scene satisfies fans

Yes to aftercare! After the release of Attack on Titan: The Last Attack, fans were surprised to see the post-credits scene where it looked entirely different from the story of the anime.

What does this mean and why are the characters different from their original designs, you might ask? Well, this all traces back to the "Attack on School Castes" which is a series of fake previews for the Attack on Titan manga, written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama himself. This has nothing to do with the original story of AOT and is only an Alternate Universe version of the characters in the story, so their designs would be completely different from the original as they are living in a normal world. Some of these noticable designs are as Mikasa being a goth, Armin as an otaku/nerd, Eren being a regular person type of character, Reiner the jock, Historia being the school queen bee, etc. Evidently, these character designs may be distinct to their original looks, but it is also obvious that their personalities in the anime match their styles in this AU.

In the post-credit scene, it showed the three main characters Eren, Mikasa, and Armin watching in a movie theater, together as friends. After seeing the movie, Armin and Mikasa seemed to be arguing about the ending of the movie that they just watched. Armin and Mikasa have both different opinions on how the movie should've ended or what could've happened. Eren, on the other hand was asked by the two about his opinion of the movie and he answered with "I had fun watching the movie with you guys". 

It wasn't shown in the scene what movie they watched, but fans are speculating that they watched the Anime itself, or watched something similar to the story given that Armin and Mikasa's arguement about the ending sounded very much like Attack on Titan. 

Fans are very happy about this Post-credit scene given that the show ended with a tragic and bittersweet ending. In addition, they were very thrilled to see that not only were the three main characters were shown but also some others from the anime. These shown characters were Levi, who seemed to be a janitor in this universe; Marco behind the seats in the theater asleep with half of his face decaying, referencing to his death on the original anime; In the backround, Ymir Fritz and the three girls were shown as a family, indicating that they are living a very happy life. Some other characters such as Zofia and Udo were also shown, mentions of characters such as Nicollo's restaurant, Maria's diner, and the tree itself, grown and big. 

The end-credit scene undoubtedly left everyone feeling satisfied, as it highlights that the true joy for fans comes from seeing their favorite characters happy and alive. It serves as a reminder that, for many, the emotional well-being of these characters is what truly makes the story fulfilling, bringing a sense of closure and positivity after the intense journey they've gone through. Fans are left with a sense of contentment, knowing that their beloved characters are in a good place, making the overall experience even more rewarding.
