Distance learning was imposed by DepEd for April 15–16.
Asynchronous classes for April15-16 in the Philippines
The Department of Education (DepEd) ordered the 47,678 public schools in the country to have an asynchronous mode of learning on April 15-16.
The order was made to give students time to finish their assignments and pending tasks. Due to the rapid approaching of the end of the school year, a lot of schoolwork as well as the lessons got rushed. In order for the students to have time, the DepEd implemented that all the public schools in the country should have asynchronous classes or distance learning on April 15-16, 2024.
As well as the students, teachers are not mandated to go and report to their designated stations.
Thus, events scheduled by the offices of the Regional and Schools Divisions will not take place before April 16 and shall be moved to a later time.
This announcement does not apply to private schools, and they are free to implement the same procedures.
