"Facing the Spotlight: ‘Mutya ng Section E’ Cast Talks About Fan Pressure"

The lead cast of "Ang Mutya ng Section E," a Viva One adaptation of a popular Wattpad story, assured fans that they would meet expectations for the series.

Andres Muhlach plays Kiefer, the class president of Section E; Ashtine Olviga plays Jay-Jay, the "mutya" of Section E; and Rabin Angeles plays Yuri, a character who adds tension to the plot.

In a recent press conference, Andres shared that he's similar to his character Kiefer in being protective of those he cares about. He expressed excitement to start the show and promised to portray Kiefer as accurately as possible, saying, "I want to do good for the fans."

Ashtine, who admitted feeling some pressure, said it drives her to perform better as Jay-Jay. She relates to her role because she also stands up for what she believes is right.

Rabin also found similarities with his character, saying he and Yuri both love their friends and girlfriends deeply.

The rest of the cast includes Charles Law, Frost Sandoval, Keagan De Jesus, and others.

Director Theodore Boborol mentioned that the series will stay true to the original Wattpad story, with only minor changes due to the visual medium and the limited number of episodes. Lara Flores, the original writer, confirmed she approved any necessary changes to the script.

Andres, the son of Aga Muhlach and Charlene Gonzales, is working alongside Andre, the son of Aiko Melendez and Jomari Yllana, in the series. Both actors are excited about their collaboration and the opportunity to work together.

"Ang Mutya ng Section E" is now streaming on Viva One.
