MRT-3 extends daily operating hours for commuters.
The MRT-3 has extended its weekday evening operating hours by one hour, starting March 24, to improve commuter convenience. The North Avenue Station (southbound) now closes at 10:25 p.m., while the Taft Avenue Station (northbound) closes at 11:04 p.m.. The extension follows an order from DOTr Secretary Vince Dizon, after his March 17 inspection of key stations. More trains will also be deployed during peak hours for faster travel.

More trains will be deployed during peak hours to improve travel efficiency for commuters. Under the new schedule, the North Avenue Station (southbound) closes at 10:25 p.m., while the Taft Avenue Station (northbound) closes at 11:04 p.m.. The first trips remain at 4:30 a.m. from North Avenue and 5:05 a.m. from Taft Avenue.
The extension follows an order from DOTr Secretary Vince Dizon, issued after his March 17 station inspections at Taft, Ayala, and Shaw. The 16.9-kilometer MRT-3 line, which has 13 stations, serves commuters from North Avenue in Quezon City to Taft Avenue in Pasay City.
