The Palace dismissed Davao City Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte’s claim that President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. lacked gratitude for former President Rodrigo Duterte, stating that a "debt of gratitude" should not interfere with upholding the law.

Presidential Communications Undersecretary Claire Castro responded to Baste Duterte’s remarks, in which he reminded Marcos Jr. that his father, Duterte, had approved the burial of Ferdinand Marcos Sr. at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.

Senate President Francis “Chiz” Escudero confirmed that Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa could take refuge in the Senate if the International Criminal Court (ICC) issues an arrest warrant. Escudero assured that he would not permit the arrest of a senator within the institution’s premises.

The Philippine National Police (PNP) reiterated its commitment to assisting Interpol in carrying out ICC arrest warrants. PNP Public Information Office chief Col. Randulf Tuaño reinforced Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo’s statement that the PNP is prepared to support Interpol in enforcing warrants related to the Duterte administration’s drug war.

Undersecretary Claire Castro suggested that Duterte supporters should also advocate for the return of former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque, not just former President Duterte. She made the remark after Roque was seen in the Netherlands supporting Duterte.

Former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque announced his plan to apply for asylum in The Netherlands during a press conference. Roque, a legal counsel for Duterte, is seeking refuge as his former boss remains detained at the International Criminal Court.
