Russia Strikes Ukraine Despite Putin’s Promise to Trump

Kyiv, Ukraine – Just hours after Russian President Vladimir Putin reportedly assured former U.S. President Donald Trump that Russia would halt attacks on Ukraine’s energy grid, a new wave of missile and drone strikes hit several Ukrainian cities. The attacks, which targeted critical infrastructure and residential areas, have intensified concerns over Russia’s true intentions regarding any potential ceasefire.

The former U.S. president, who has expressed interest in brokering peace talks, had suggested that Russia was open to negotiations.
