Silent Hill f Unveils New Trailer and Official Synopsis
After a long wait, Konami has finally offered a new glimpse of *Silent Hill f*, the next major installment in the iconic survival-horror series, initially revealed in 2022. Since then, news on the game has been scarce, as Konami focused on promoting the *Silent Hill 2* remake, but with its release in late 2024, *Silent Hill f* has returned. The first story trailer, shown during the latest “Silent Hill Transmission” presentation, reveals that the game takes place in the small Japanese town of Ebisugaoka, where the protagonist, a young girl named Shimizu Hinako, must survive as the town becomes enveloped in a terrifying fog. The game, written by Ryukishi07 and featuring music by Akira Yamaoka, combines psychological horror with a haunting Japanese setting. In *Silent Hill f*, Hinako must navigate twisted paths, solve puzzles, and face grotesque monsters in a tale filled with doubt, regret, and unavoidable choices. While Konami hasn’t announced an official release date, *Silent Hill f* is confirmed for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, with a potential 2025 release.

During the most recent “Silent Hill Transmission” presentation, the first story trailer for Silent Hill f was shown. Instead of taking place in the familiar town of Silent Hill, the game is set in the small, Japanese town of Ebisugaoka. A young girl named Shimizu Hinako is the protagonist, and much like previous Silent Hill titles, the town becomes enveloped in a mysterious fog, leading to horrific events. Konami also confirmed that Silent Hill f is being written by Ryukishi07 and will feature music from Akira Yamaoka, the legendary composer behind previous Silent Hill games.
The story description reads: “In 1960s Japan, Shimizu Hinako’s isolated town of Ebisugaoka is overtaken by an unexpected fog, turning her home into a terrifying nightmare. As the fog deepens and the town falls into silence, Hinako must navigate the twisted streets of Ebisugaoka, solve intricate puzzles, and face monstrous horrors to survive.”
“Step into Hinako’s world, brought to life by acclaimed author Ryukishi07, with captivating music—including tracks by Akira Yamaoka—and stunning visuals, all set in a compelling tale of doubt, regret, and unavoidable choices. Konami hasn’t yet announced an official release date for Silent Hill f, but it is confirmed to be in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. With a rating already assigned earlier this year, there’s a possibility it may release in 2025.
