Guide to New Attractions in London, UK

Looking for things to do in London? The city is always evolving, with areas like Kings Cross getting a fresh makeover. Previously, Docklands and Greenwich Peninsula saw major changes, bringing new attractions, dining, and shopping spots.

Thanks to the Elizabeth Line, Docklands is now a great place to stay. The Good Hotel, a floating platform from the Netherlands, is docked at the Royal Docks and is just a short walk from Royal Victoria DLR station. It offers easy access to Canary Wharf, the O2 Arena, and central London.

IFS Cloud Cable Car

Opened in 2012 for the London Olympics, this cable car connects ExCel’s Royal Docks station to the Greenwich Peninsula and the O2. It rises 90 meters (295 feet) in the air, offering stunning views of landmarks like Canary Wharf, St. Paul’s Cathedral, and the Shard. The ride lasts about 10 minutes.

iFLY O2 London

Located inside the O2, iFLY offers indoor skydiving with a powerful wind tunnel simulating freefall at speeds of up to 120 mph. It’s great for beginners and experienced flyers alike. Each session lasts around a minute, with full safety gear provided.

Lightroom London

King’s Cross has transformed into a cultural hub, and Lightroom is its latest attraction. This digital art space features immersive projections and sound. One exhibit, VOGUE: Inventing the Runway, explores the history of fashion shows from private couture events to today’s global spectacles.

The Postal Museum

Near King’s Cross in Clerkenwell, The Postal Museum highlights the history of Britain’s postal service. A key attraction is the Mail Rail—an underground railway that once transported mail through London. Visitors can take a ride on the original tracks while watching audiovisual displays that bring its history to life.

The Friends Experience

Fans of Friends can step into their favorite show at The Friends Experience. Explore recreations of Central Perk and the iconic apartments of Monica, Rachel, Joey, and Chandler. Snap photos on the famous orange couch and see some of the cast’s iconic outfits.

The Lion King – West End

Since 1999, The Lion King has been a must-see musical in London’s West End. With stunning puppetry, dazzling visuals, and unforgettable songs by Elton John and Tim Rice, this show continues to captivate audiences of all ages.
