Jisoo of Blackpink signs a worldwide solo contract with Warner Records ahead of his much awaited debut EP.

Jisoo, the eldest member of the global K-pop phenomenon BLACKPINK, has officially signed a global solo deal with Warner Records, the label announced on Tuesday. This marks a significant step in her solo career as she prepares to release her debut solo EP, titled Amortage. In a statement, Jisoo expressed her excitement, saying, “I feel like I’m just getting started, and I’d like to thank the BLINKs [BLACKPINK fans] for all their love and support. This is just the beginning, and I’m thrilled to kick off this seismic moment with Warner Records.” 

Described as her “most comprehensive solo work yet,” Amortage represents a new chapter in Jisoo’s career, showcasing her growth as an artist. The EP is said to explore the emotional stages of love, offering a deeper and more personal look into her artistry. This project follows her 2023 single album, Flower, which was released before she departed from YG Entertainment as a solo artist. 

Warner Records CEO and co-chairman Aaron Bay-Schuck praised Jisoo’s global influence, stating, “There is no question that Jisoo is one of the biggest stars in the world, and we have no doubt that her solo career will be even more impactful. With this deal, Jisoo joins her BLACKPINK bandmates—Jennie, Lisa, and Rosé—in securing solo ventures outside of YG Entertainment. While the group renewed their exclusive contracts for group activities with YG in December 2023, all four members decided to pursue solo careers independently. Jennie partnered with Columbia Records through her label Oddatelier, Lisa signed with RCA Records via her company LLOUD, and Rosé inked a global deal with Atlantic Records. 

Beyond music, Jisoo continues to expand her influence in entertainment and fashion. She is set to star in the upcoming K-drama Newtopia, premiering on Prime Video on February 7. A fixture at major fashion events, Jisoo was recently spotted at the Christian Dior Haute Couture Spring-Summer 2025 show in Paris, solidifying her status as a global ambassador for the luxury brand.
